What to expect
Arriving
Your integration programme starts on the day you arrive in Germany. Together we set up things like your German SIM card and phone number, your health insurance and your bank account. You also learn the basics of everyday life in Germany.
Living
You live right in Kiel city centre, in a room with your own bathroom.
Learning
You have classes every day from 9 am to 5 pm – in a modern classroom on the same floor where you live. You practise hands-on skills in the skills lab.
Community
You meet the others in the common rooms with TV and sofas. You cook in the large kitchens. At weekends, ifi regularly organises trips.
Your day

Your contacts on site
Our integration team is on site every day and helps you settle into your new everyday life in Germany. On top of that, our language and nursing teachers are always there to help with subject questions – before, during and after class.

How long will I live on campus?
For the whole 6 months of your training – except during your work placements at your future employer. When you start with your employer, you move out.
Do I have to pay rent on campus?
Yes. The placement is free for you, but you pay the rent for your room yourself every month. You can do this because you already receive a salary from the day you arrive in Germany.
